New Chapters in PULP’s Law Manual – Stay Tuned!

Thanks to some funding from the Berk Foundation and some added funding from the New York State Assembly, and direct fundraising, the Public Utility Law Project (“PULP”) is beginning to roll out the 8th Edition of its online law manual. We anticipate we will have uploaded substantially all nine chapters of Section I – Rights and Protections for Utility Customers, by the beginning of February of 2019.

Designed as a reference tool for advocates dealing with the problems of low income energy and telecom consumers; the law manual is also useful for ratepayers and others seeking an in-depth understanding of the topics discussed on the New York’s Utility Project website.

The law manual is constantly under revision based on our experience advocating in front of New York’s regulatory agencies and courts. As we upload all new chapters for Section I, we will also be working on and uploading Section II over the course of the Winter.

Here is the new version of Chapter 1 – the Home Energy Fair Practices Act (i.e. Article 2 of the Public Service Law).
